Privacy notice

This notice explains what we do with the information you give us when you apply to coach with Smash360. It is written under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Who is responsible

Smash Cricket Group is the responsible party for the information collected through this recruitment portal. You can reach us at info@smashcricket.co.za.

What we collect

Only what you type into the application form: your name, mobile number, email address, town or suburb, province, coaching languages, your playing and coaching background, your qualifications, availability, travel radius, employment status, transport, police clearance and first aid status, your earliest start date, and anything else you choose to add in the free text fields. We also record when you submitted, and which campaign link brought you to the page.

Why we collect it

To assess your application and to contact you about coaching work with Smash360. That is the only purpose. We use your contact details to phone, WhatsApp or email you about your application, and the rest of the information to decide which age groups, venues and sessions you would be suited to.

Who sees it

Only the people at Smash Cricket Group who assess and place coaches. We do not sell your information, we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes, and we do not use it for marketing. The service providers who host our website, database and email do process the data on our instruction, and only for that purpose.

Your account

When you apply, we create an account for you using your email address so that you can set a password and check the status of your application later. You are not required to use it.

How long we keep it

We keep applications for two years from the date you submit, because coaching placements depend on when a venue opens near you and we may come back to you within that window. After two years we delete the application, unless you have become a contracted coach, in which case your records are kept under our normal employment record keeping.

Your rights

You may ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@smashcricket.co.za and we will action it. You may also withdraw your consent at any time, which means we stop processing your application and remove it. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Security

Applications are stored in an access-controlled database. Only authorised Smash Cricket Group administrators can read them.
