Do you love cricket?Good with kids?
Then you're in the right place. Smash360 exists to help kids fall in love with cricket, and to give the coaches who make that happen a real career out of it.
The pay was designed by our coaches.
A coaching year
The dips are the school holidays. Same work, same coach, same year.

The coaching
We build the method. You bring the magic.
Turn up at one of our sessions and you should find smiles, a fair amount of noise, and kids playing with their mates. There's a method under it. Every session is built on the Smash360 anchors, so while they're laughing they're genuinely getting better, and they never need to know that's what's happening.
Behind Smash360
Built by peoplewho know the game.
They wrote the programme you'd be coaching, and it's their business. If a salary has to land on the same day every month, it matters who's standing behind it.

The money
Same month.Same salary.
Our own coaches asked for this. The rate per session was never really the problem, the school holidays were.
CSA Level 1
fromR8 500a month
CSA Level 2
fromR10 000a month
Floors, not offers. Nothing comes off for kit, insurance or admin, and you're an employee on payroll rather than a contractor sending invoices.
December paysthe same as March.
Holiday camps run through the breaks and coaching them is part of the job, so the same amount lands on the same day all twelve months.
On top of that
Mornings are yours.
Once you're running the afternoons, a preschool group is a straight 50/50 split with no cap. Every group you bring in is half yours, on top of the salary.
The Smash Garden Route team
The week
Afternoons are the job.Mornings are yours.
Weekday afternoons, 13:00 to 18:00, are what you're employed to do. The odd Saturday with the older groups sits inside your salary.
The path
This doesn't have to bea side hustle.
Start with a group. Then see where you can take it.

Your first group is just the start.
The standard
We can teach youthe Smash360 way.
Someone who's brilliant with four-year-olds and someone who's brilliant with an under-15 squad are two completely different coaches, and we need both.
- You can hold a group of kids and keep them moving for a full hour
- You turn up on time, every week
- You'll run the Smash360 method first and add your own coaching once you know it
- Your own reliable transport
- Police clearance, or you're willing to go and get it
- Afrikaans is a real advantage at some venues
No CSA level, or never coached at all? Apply anyway. If you're good with kids and reliable, you'd start on the younger groups alongside an experienced coach.
That's the job.Fancy it?
Three questions to start. About five minutes.
The detail
Everything else.If you want it.
What do you handle, and what do I handle?
You coach. We do the rest. Registrations, bookings, arrears and the awkward messages about money all run through the parent app, so the only conversation you'll ever have with a parent is about their child's cricket. There's an age-banded curriculum from three years upward and the session pack is written before you get to the field. We provide the equipment.
What happens after I apply?
A person reads every application. If you clear the standard, expect a WhatsApp or a call within a few working days. Then a conversation about where you are and what's open near you, then we take you through the Smash360 methodology and the app before you run a single session. When a group opens up near you, we come to you first.
How long before I get a group?
A strong application gets you near the front of the queue. What we can't do is invent a group before one opens up near you, and that can be a few weeks or it can be a season. We'd rather tell you that now than leave you hanging.
I've never coached, or I have no qualification. Worth applying?
Yes, as long as you're good with kids and reliable. Every coach goes through the Smash360 methodology with us anyway, so we'd rather find someone naturally good with children and train them properly than hire a certificate that can't hold a group.
I coach around another job. Is that a problem?
Not if your afternoons are genuinely free. The salaried work runs 13:00 to 18:00 every weekday, so it sits nicely around teaching, studying or a morning shift. If your own day only ends at five, the afternoons are the sticking point, and they're the one part we can't move around.
Am I employed, or paid per session?
Employed. You're an employee of Smash360 on a monthly salary, not a contractor invoicing us per session and not employed by the school. Your full terms are in the contract you sign.
What happens to the information I put on the form?
We use it to assess your application and contact you about coaching work, and nothing else. We don't sell it and we don't share it. You can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing info@smashcricket.co.za. The full detail is in the privacy notice.

Coach the game.Grow with us.
It's a lot quicker for both of us, and it's the only thing on this page we're asking you to get right.
Three questions to start, about five minutes in total. It saves as you go, so you can stop and finish it later on the same phone.
Application received.
We read every one. If you clear the standard, expect a WhatsApp or a call within a few working days. If you don't yet, we'll tell you straight rather than leaving you waiting.
Your email has a link to set a password. It lets you log back in and see exactly where your application stands, so you're never left guessing.
